Sophocles joined EPGE in 2011 and is currently part of the solar and off-grid project development team. Sophocles has 20 years of experience in different areas of the energy sector. Prior to joining EPGE, he was an Advisor to the University of Cyprus and an Energy Officer at the Energy Service of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, working on the development of a major energy infrastructure hub including a LNG regasification terminal and a petroleum storage facility. Prior to that Sophocles worked as an energy consultant for ILEX Energy Consulting (now AFRY Energy) based in Oxford UK, responsible for modelling long-term electricity price projections and producing the GB Electricity Market report.
