Sophocles joined EPGE in 2011 and is currently part of the company’s project development team. Sophocles has over 20 years of experience across different areas of the energy sector. 

Prior to joining EPGE, Sophocles served as an Advisor to the Cyprus University of Technology and as an Energy Officer at the Energy Service of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, working on the development of a major energy infrastructure hub including a LNG regasification terminal and a petroleum storage facility. Earlier in his career, Sophocles worked as an energy consultant at ILEX Energy Consulting (now AFRY Energy) based in Oxford UK, responsible for modelling long-term electricity price projections and producing the GB Electricity Market report.
